chances it is the cable?

I have an issue with my norco 4224 case and detecting 1 drive

I thought it might have been the backplane. moved from the bottom that had the issue to the top and didn't fix it

moved from 1 raid card to another raid card and also didn't fix it

took the drive out and connected it to my windows machine. found it no problem

connected it to the server sata port and power works.

I did notice when I removed it from my unraid machine it was not spinning. yet powered up on both the windows and server sata port

it is a shucked 6tb white drive. there are 3 others in the server that work just fine. Each back plane is feed from a 4 pin molex.

 

I have a new cable from raid card to backplane on order. will need some for my 2nd nas build in the future
