I was playing APEX LEGENDS and suddenly my monitor lost signal BUT my computer didn't shut itself down. I couldn't real hear the harddisk spinning. Then I went to hold the shut down button but it only turned off my mouse and headphone's light but the rest of the system seems to be on still( with all those rgb and things). No matter how long i press the Shut Down button on the Computer Case, it just wouldn't turn off.

I then went to cut its power and restarted it, and everything seems to be working fine. Any idea?

Cpu: Ryzen5 1600x (OC to 3.9)

Gpu: Gigabyte Single Fan GTX1060

Storage: TOSHIBA (1TB w/Windows & 4TB w/loads of games and other stuff)

Cpu cooler: H100i plat

PSU: Bronze 80+ 600W MaxPower

MB: B350F Asus

Ram: TeamGroup Nighthawk 8x2GB

My bios is up-to-date. Cpu temp was 37 degree Celsius and gpu kept at 51.(while gaming).

Also, when I played games right after booting(it takes like 3-5mins to boot btw), my screen will shutter, I mean with my spec, it should not be doing that, the graphics was on high (Apex Legends). But after a while, it begins to run smoothly without anything shutter whatsoever. Any idea to that too?

Remove your overclock and see if the crash goes away.

That's because you're using a mechanical hard drive it's still loading stuff when you boot the game, you should 100% use an SSD for your boot drive, there's no reason not to they are insanely cheap now days. I can get a 120GB SSD for $20.

Sounds like the GPU is failing/hanging, do you still hear sound?

Make sure it is not covered in dust, could be overheating, clean it.

Try a different cable from the monitor to the GPU.

Try software to check the temperature of the GPU.

Try a GPU stress test to see if it crashes the pc again.

Just some things to try, hope I can help figure it out.

I don't think that's the case, my gpu temp stays around 53-58 degree

Try a stress test on GPU, if that runs fine try to run a check disk on your HD.

To run the check disk utility from Computer (My Computer), follow these steps:
  1. Boot into Windows 10.
  2. Double-click on Computer (My Computer) to open it.
  3. Select the drive you want to run a check on, e.g. C:\
  4. Right-click on the drive.
  5. Click Properties.
  6. Go to the Tools tab.
  7. Select Check, at the Error checking section.

Ran the stress for 10mins and checked the disk, nothing wrong
