ok so i made a share on a differnet pc on my network and i have it set to everyone and i cant connect to it at al, it says "you do not have permission to access (Shared Folder)" what did i do wrong

Are you sure the different PC is on the same network? Try finding the PC in the network tab in File Explorer, double click and see if the folder pops up.

 

If you can't access the computer, then sharing permissions between the computers are wrong, not the folder.

yes i set the IP, submask, and gateway right. but the pc im trying to access shows up on the network and it shows the folder i set to share but i cant access it still

ok now i fixed it some how but now i have a different issues. I have a Mac Pro running snow leopard because its just for a backup pc for my media and now it wont even show up on the network at all but i can connect to it on TightVNC
