weird smell

ahhhhhh the fresh smell of new electronics

yea sometime the smell is worse on some....it goes away anywhere from a couple hours to a couple days.

 

Why do new electronics smell?
It's caused by the evaporation of volatile compounds in the components used in the device. The same effect produces the famous "new car smell." Plastics in particular do this, as the volatile compounds are lost through evaporation, the intensity of the odor fades until it is essentially gone.

That's normal, not so long ago a friend got a new case and to this day it smells horrible, hopefully the smell in a graphics card will go away faster.
