Been having a problem recently, and it's not new, I always chalked it up to my ISP.

Specs :

CPU : 6700k

GPU : 1070
Mobo : Z270 Maximus 9 Apex

Sometimes my ethernet randomly cuts out and I'm not sure why. None of the other PCs do it as far as I know. We're connected using a switch.

It'd happen when playing League or Apex Legends, not sure if it happens during normal browsing or not.

I've tried reinstalling LAN drivers from ASUS' website, and it first reinstalling drivers worked, and I didn't DC for quite awhile, and then now I keep DC'ing even if I reinstall drivers.

This is the icon that I get whenever I DC.image.thumb.png.d8be350aa211f7fe77ce880cac17025d.png

Did you try resetting the modem/router by hand? Also check your firewall. I've have problems like this with 6 different firewalls (including the default Windows firewall)

Also, change your DNS servers. I use Comodo DNS 8.26.56.26 and 8.20.247.20

I have not tried a different cable, but I don't suspect it is, due to when I reinstalled my drivers the first time, it completely stopped happening for a good few weeks, but anything can happen.

I've tried to reset it in the past, but it seems it's only me who gets it, none of the other computers.

What exactly would I look for in my firewall?
Haven't changed DNS servers, and I think I previously used CloudFlare's 1.1.1.1 and Google's DNS, but I'll try Comodo.

I'm gonna copy what I just told someone else to try;

One thing that's helped me in the past is modifying my LAN device settings in device manager. Depending on your driver, you should have extra options in the properties window for your NIC that allow you to change things like Large Send Offload and Buffer Sizes. I thought it was strange too but sometimes it helps.

I'm at the edge of my networking knowledge right now, but as I remember you should configure every setting to the maximum possible. That should stabilize your connection and possibly increase your speed.

All the values are disabled and enabled, or values that I do not understand.

Although the Jumbo Packet option does have 2 values, or disabled. Just from a quick read, any packets over 1500 bytes in size is considered a Jumbo Packet, and normally any packets that big would be broken down, but chances are you might drop them.
Even then, i don't think that'd help, something is causing my service to crash i think.

Did you check for the latest windows updates?  (Sorry, I had to ask with all the crap M$ has been releasing)

Yeah, I only updated to whatever it is now, but it's been taking place before the updates.
Using Version 10.0.17763 Build 17763
