So If im wanting to stream, what process would be the best bang for the buck? 8700k? 9700k? 9900k? or a ryzen processor? Looking to pick the cpu for my build

For streaming, you dont need the best PC. I would go Ryzen, Best bang for the buck! look at a couple of your favorite streamers streaming PC builds (typically in BIO) and you just need an Okay PC and a capture card if you have a 2 PC setup for streaming and gaming

yeah I have a computer that has a i5 6600k 16GB SSD and 1060 6GB that I can use as the 2nd pc

Yeah that's easily good enough as a streaming PC as of today!

sadly its not, whenever I try to stream my cpu and ram cant keep up at 1080p. I need something more powerful

You should be able to stream and game off of a Ryzen 2600 (or higher) CPU just fine. Intel i5-8400 are also capable but with Ryzen 3 coming out in July it makes more sense to go with AMD right now.

Try changing the encoding and are your overclocking right now?

that's strange... up your CPU to the i7 then!
