I would look for Bitfenix Whisper M, Corsair RMx, Seasonic Focus or be quiet pure power/straight power 11.

bitfenix is not available, nor is RMx. then it's either seasonic (focus plus gold 650) or be quiet! (pure power 11). what wattage would you advice with possible upgrades in mind? 600 or 700 (talking about bq!) (my build r5 2600, rtx 2070 (i want to upgrade to r7 3700 later this year))

If you're formally an engineer, avoid responsibility. That's what senior engineers get paid for.

I would recommend the Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 650 then. It should have enough wattage for upgrades.

there's one problem with this one, i currently have one that might be faulty, so i'm in doubt about that one

If it's faulty, use the warranty or get a replacement from the store you bought it from.

I'm working on it, but first I want to make sure it's faulty. my return time is done.

my options (please let me know if i missed certain ones): seasonic focus plus gold 650w (95,-) or coolermaster mwe gold 650w (85,-)

I'd get the SS FPG. Though you might consider BitFenix Whisper M or BQ PP11 CM600 as well. These are priced reasonably&similarily.

Life is really challenging. I don't always suceed: )
