Low FPS on games

jwatkc

I have a MSI Infinite X pc, I7 8700, msi gtx 1070 armor oc. It had the stick fan cooler on the cpu and just switched it to a MSI Forozl XL. After installing it and starting it up, my FPS on all games has lowered drastically. From 80-90 down to 10 to 20, what could have happened.

Has to be a thermal throttling issue, meaning you installed something wrong. Take a look at your CPU temps. If they're high, remount your cooler and make sure to plug your CPU fan into the CPU fan header on the motherboard.

There was also a driver update for Nvidia and did it and didn’t fix it. I re-installed the driver again and fixed it for one session FPS back to almost normal. The next time I played went back to bad FPS.
