Older build

I am considering building the following spec'd system due to owning the more pricey parts and would not be my primary PC as i have a z390 Gaming pc but this would be like a living room gaming / media center pc

 

Owned

SFX-450 PSU

Intel Core i5-3570

Nvidia GTX 970

2x8gb DDR3 2133

128gb SSD

 

Needed

a Mini-ITX motherboard 

a Case (Looking at ML08B)

 

Anyone have a good source for finding Used or new old stock LGA 1155 Boards other than Ebay. don't want to spend all that much. maybe $50-75 on motherboard

Imo, ebay is the place for used hardware to purchase safely. Why not ebay? I have purchased like 50+ computer components used there, and build 7+ entire computers using exclusively used hardware from ebay.

seems like ebay only has people selling broken stuff or like the cheapest of the cheap motherboards for twice the fair value. 

 

for example GA-H61-N for $69 and $10 to ship it. 

i bought that exact motherboard in 2014 for $77 and free shipping

Once things get to a certain age, their value increases because the supply drops significantly and its old and no one buys/wants it. This inflates the price for hard to find older stuff. This is true on any market to buy used hardware. This is not exclusive to eBay, its economics. Supply and Demand.

You might be able to find a cheap mobo on aliexpress, just beware that the Chinese boards can have pretty meh quality but can usually work for very basic systems.

I like to get old motherboards on ebay. Due to the fact I trust secondhand more than Chinese crap
