So i would like to know what everyone has gotten their clocks to so far Ive achieved a whopping 1300 core 1420 memory in CROSSFIRE with really good temps anyone got any better or close vapor-x oc sooooooo well.

MUST BE STABLE !!!

Valley scores should be up Saturday.

Yeah I can do 5000MHz on my core, with a modded tweak utility of course, but it's not stable. (I can validate it with GPU-Z though hehe)

Have you stressed out your cards with that overclock yet?

When you max out the voltage, you do have to watch out for the VRM temps. Yeah they can go way up to 120C and be fine for a while, but you're just asking for a nearby cap to 'spolde.

Try to keep core temps under 85C in the most stressful situations and the VRM under 95C. Well, if your core temp is 85C then your VRM must be well over 110C :P

I hope you have GPU-Z.

Ok stable lol and yeah i ran one for about an hour i hit 52 c max so im all good i get about a 30 % increase in frames from stock pretty beneficial.

I can hit 9001 core lolz

Heck, 52C? What frozen wasteland do you live in?

Push it! Come back with some awesome Valley scores!

I really need to replace the thermal gunk on my replacement 7870. Fresh from RMA and it's hotter than the one I sent back w/o overclocking, That reminds me, I need to update my sig... I kind of want to do a tut on replacing GPU paste here on the forums, good idea or nay?

I sent back a regular OC edition card and received back what looked like an XT card. It had the Dual-X cooler on it, but it's an OC edition? I Googled it for a while and found an Italian forum talking about it. There's no American Dual-X 7870 OC :/??

Yeah I was going to make a thread asking if anyone had ever seen a card like it. It looks just like the original OC edition w/ Sapphire stickers on the fans, but it had Dual-X stickers.

That's kind of long winded. :P

Have you raised the voltage? Constantly watch the temps when you do.

Yeah that's the weird, fun part of overclocking :d

Bootleg? Lol, I had a feeling...

it doesn't have the extra piece of aluminum like the real XT. Nor does it have the teal/blue on the shroud like the new OC edition.. o.O

No Fle-X sticker either.. On a side note, it does have the PCB as the card I sent back, I'm going to take it apart today and make sure.
