What exactly are you looking to power or build? There are SFF type PSU's like the HD plex units that use a power brick but they still have a breakout board for you to distribute the power to a standard 24 pin EPS., PCI-E and such.

Well kind of the HD plex but cheaper and about 200 wats if that's possible

is there any cheaper than that from like other brands. Im looking to power a sleeper PC inside an old xbox 360 case that I have. And the build is about 200w

They make a smaller 160W unit 200W peak, there are those pico units but they are comparative to the HD plex unit, just make sure you get them from reputable sources as there are clones of the pico units.

That's going to only get you garbage... if anything at all.

 

If that's your budget, might as well abandon whatever project this is.

 

The Pico PSU alone will be almost $60.  The power brick should be about $50.

If you are looking for an external power brick but still retaining the standard ATX power connectors that would be your best choice. Other than that you can look at getting m-ITX boards that have an option to directly accept a DC power jack but that will limit your options.

Not many boards have a direct DC input and depending on the hardware you are planning to install most have a power limit for the CPU and PCI-E  devices as they will usually be powered directly from the DC input jack. Meaning very lower power GPU or devices, just depends on what hardware and application this PC will be used for.

For those kinds of motherboard they usually accept a range of 12-19V so you can use regular laptop power supplies, similar with the HD plex unit which goes all the way up to 16-24V, Pico unit looks to only accept 12V. 

 

For the power brick you will want to get something that is good quality and not a no name brand unit, something from Meanwell, Delta, FSP, will all be good things to look for. 

 

I'd personally recommend the HD plex if you want to use regular ATX connection motherboards.
