Ultimate Performance Mode in Windows 10

I was just wondering if Ultimate Performance Mode in Windows 10 a real thing.

You do realize that the performance modes are simply power saving levels, right?  Not actual performance modifications.

It's not a default feacher you need to enable it from what i've googled.

Hmm, only one of these things is about performance and your CPU ramps up when being used anyway...  it's not an actual Windows OC.

• Hard disk never goes to sleep
• Javascript timer frequency is at maximum.
• Hibernation and Sleep are turned off.
• Processor State, Colling Policy, maximum processor rate are maxed out.

I know what the high performance setting douse. So the Ultimate Performance setting is a troll?

No, because even High Performance mode turns off the hard drives in 20 minutes, etc.

 

 

Ultimate is basically never put my machine in  anything other than a ready state.

Yah I found the same thing before I made a post and I don't care about the energy consumption. I just dont know if its a trustworthy site.

Windows 10 Pro for Workstation edition has a power profile called: "Ultimate Performance"

This does one step above High Performance, where disables all power saving features. It helps eliminate micro-latencies from hardware switching between clock speeds. This is for those who does tasks that fluctuates constantly the need to have the CPU and/or GPU go its full clock speed as it gets under load and stops, so it goes back down. In other words, do tasks that performs constant short burst of performance and nothing continuous.

 

It will bring 0 benefits in gaming (as that is in a constant load), nor benchmarks scores (same reason).

 

It is a very special use case and hence why it was made for the Workstation edition of Windows 10.
