Question regarding EXT_FAN on Z370-A Prime

Hey guys! Looking to squeeze one more fan into my air 540 case, and I seen a slot on my Z370-A Prime called: EXT_FAN, could I plug a case fan into there? It's 5 pin and my fan is 3. 

Sorry in advance if it's a dumb question LOL

Won't hurt if you try.  If it doesn't work then you need to connect fan to motherboard and bring out the cable or extend it.

No you can not, it doesn't fit.

Take a fan splitter and connect it with the others

@Constantinimage.png.df8f943b74f188a39c9f793016023c44.png  My bad for the question after the question lol, but do you think this is an optimal air flow setup? The blue markers are what I already have - I just plan on adding two more to the top.

Make the top intake, not exhaust.

Yeah, you can put a lot of fans on a header.  If they are matching fans and you are gonna run them at the same speed then it's an even better solution.
