i play at 1080p 144hz

just because thats what i had before I got the 1080ti

I think you'll be fine. You can use MSI Afterburner's OSD to see your framerate and the utilization of your components. You can tell there's a CPU-bottleneck when you GPU has low utilization while your CPU is maxed out and running at 100% (on cores that are actually being used).

If you have money burning a hole in your pocket and you are afraid it will set your pants on fire, you can check out a 1440p monitor, your rig is good enough. Otherwise just save the money.

By the way, a bottleneck isn't a problem as long as your performance is what you would like it to be!

ah I see I don't know how to check for bottlenecks and I only have this because I got it for 350$ used so.

I would suggest you learn or ask how to determine if you have one instead of blindly stating that the 2600 is bottlenecking you.

okay, how would you test my good sir?

wait never mind I fucking found out with someone else and I didn't mean to state that it was bottlenecking me I meant it as a question I now realize the way I worded it. It does sound like it is bottlenecking me WHOOPS
