laser, just like ABS keycaps. I've seen frequently repasted CPUs have their letterings scratched off, most likely as they are constantly wiped.

What do they use to get the words on the CPU IHS? Is it laser engraved or polished or something?

I am assuming that it is laser etched, since rubbing alcohol doesn't remove it, but scraping and scratching it with a screwdriver does.

laser, just like ABS keycaps. I've seen frequently repasted CPUs have their letterings scratched off, most likely as they are constantly wiped.
