When I try to turn on my computer every day it almost never works first try, I always have to try multiple times due to the following issues happening a random amount of times in a random order:

- no post due to orange LED on mobo (DRAM error)

- no post due to white led (VGA error)

- just freezes during the windows boot process and hangs forever.

- freezes during the windows boot process, restarts and does this forever.

- Blue screens with the WHEA_uncorrectable_error stop code BluescreenView:7Ce5s1V.png

when I manage to make it to the windows log in screen usually it stars working perfectly though, never get bluescreened out of windows and face no performance issues what so ever.

Specs:

Ryzen 2700x

ASUS ROG STRIX X470_F

Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666mhz 16gb

Gigabyte GTX 1080

Nothing is overclocked and all temperatures are fine.

edit: for people of the future and might somehow end up here, the problem was a defective cpu.

Yes, and I've done some of the things suggested. I have done the display driver thing,  I have checked the CPU seating, heatsink and thermal gunk and I dont have any antivirus software installed which could be masking the cause.

psu? : I had same issue but not on windows just when booting , just powering in, it was the mobo (like rng drom 3 to 10 attemps to run , never crashed when fully loaded), It could be a cheap psu that hurted your mobo :(

Case: Corsair 760T  |  Psu: Evga  650w p2 | Cpu-Cooler : Noctua Nh-d15 | Cpu : 8600k  | Gpu: Gygabyte 1070 g1 | Ram: 2x8gb Gskill Trident-Z 3000mhz |  Mobo : Aorus GA-Z370 Gaming K3 | Storage : Ocz 120gb sata ssd , sandisk 480gb ssd , wd 1gb hdd | Keyboard : Corsair k95 rgb plat. | Mouse : Razer deathadder elite | Monitor: Dell s2417DG (1440p 165hz gsync) & a crappy hp 24' ips 1080p | Audio: Schiit stack + Akg k712pro + Blue yeti.

I have an extremely overkill but functional(I hope) RM1000, if that did it then that would be extremely disappointing.

Its hard to say if its sofware because when your windows tries to load mostly is windows fault, but

Quote

- no post due to orange LED on mobo (DRAM error)

- no post due to white led (VGA error)

those 2 errors are what freaks me out If i were you I would reinstall windows , but those 2 errors seems to be mobo fault , by itself or by a power spike or so, Think when this started to happen, was a storm those days , power outage?, Like I told you I had same problem (as those 2) troubleshooted and It was the mobo, (an asus x99 sabertooth mk2 not cheap) bought a new mobo and runs without a problem, If you can rma that mobo I would do that for sure.

No, I never had a power outage or anything of the sort, it just started happening a few weeks ago and has slowly escalated over time. Originally I only had the freezing during windows boot issue and the BSOD during boot issue which a fresh install didn't fix, but last week I started getting no post due to the orange LED on my motherboard and 2 days ago I started getting no post due to white LED.

I will try to RMA the motherboard and hope its the fault,. But lets say thats not the case, what would be the next logical thing to try to RMA? RAM, CPU? or just buy a new powersupply?
