i have a windows 10 pro with a volume_mak license . can i change it to retail version ?

 

my purpose is to transfer my ssd with os to new pc ( cause my mobo starting to broke ) without reinstalling windows ..

 

i dont know if i can still do it . with volume_mak one

Judging by the definition of Multiple Activation Key, first you need to know if the key hasn't reached maximum of activated computers. Then it should activate on another computer but I can't assure you since I don't really know what is the MAK system and how it works. 

I assume you got this computer from workplace? If yes, then I would contact the manager or someone in charge of licensing software in the company. If not, then I wouldn't try moving to another PC with that license.

Aka pirated. You can deactivate Windows to remove current license and enter another. If you have connected license with your Microsoft account, then you need to remove device/license from account too.
