Hi all. New member here needing help.

INTRO

I am ready to make the jump from console to pc gaming. I am not a streamer or pro. I am switching because I want to experience all the advantages to pc that console has been holding me back from.

I don't play a lot of titles currently on console, mostly COD, PUBG, Battlefield, Rocket League, etc. That may change with PC. I know my way around a PC enough to do a build and wonder why I haven't done it already.

I am a product design engineer by trade and use CAD software (Solidworks) but that will not be a major concern for this PC as I do 99% of that on my work PC. I also am into amateur photography and very light photo editing (lightroom).

I'm sure any gaming build will run these just fine. My wife and I really just need a new PC as our laptop is outdated.

NEEDS

What I am trying to accomplish is a good gaming PC for an extremely enjoyable experience $1,600-$1,800 all included from the ground up, monitor, keyboard, etc.

I know some games are more demanding than others and that trend will only continue in the future. I plan to play (MMO) games quite a bit so this system will need to run these on high-max settings if possible.

I would like to run games like Battlefield on High-Max settings at 100+fps on a 144hz monitor in 2560 x 1440 If possible........... but at least 1080.

With that being said this is where I need help as I have never seen how games run at these settings and what is needed to accomplish it but I think my price range and ideas may get me close.

I am looking for a good 27"-32" 2560 x 1440 144hz VA monitor. With G sync if possible but not sure if it's necessary. Recommendations please.

Which leads into CPU, I plan to run intel. Please no AMD fans beating me up. (i7-8700K, i5-8600K ) ?? I have never overclocked a CPU but I don't mind learning how if it's not that hard.

GPU- I'm not sure but maybe gtx-1060, gtx-1070, gtx 1070 ti, rtx-2060, rtx-2070. I need help here the most.

Motherboard and CPU Cooler im not sure and I guess depends on the above hardware.

I plan to run and SSD and HDD combo. 250-500GB and 1-2TB

Ram 16gb of DDR5 maybe?

Power Supply 650w-800w bronze or gold rated?

Tower maybe a mid sized ATX with some see through glass somewhere.

Keyboard and mouse I haven't a clue but I want something that I wont regret within my budget.

If I let anything out please let me know. Im not sure if I need to look ahead on some things like type-C ports, etc.

To follow up, I just want a cool looking PC that can blow my mind with an excellent flawless gaming experience and great image. without going over about $1,600 $1,800

Any help and conversation will be greatly appreciated as I have never even seen a game run with the settings I have mentioned or what it takes to do so at best budget.
