ZOTAC RTX 2060 OR EVGA GTX 1070 SC 8GB?

They are both hard to choose because the RTX does have a lot of newer technology with the GDDR6, but the GTX 1070 SC has 8GB of VRAM. And it’s a lot cheaper and has better reviews. By the way, I want something for 1080p and 1440p (2k) gaming. But currently, I have an Acer 1920x1080 144Hz/120Hz 1ms Gaming Monitor. So this might have been a pretty long question, but I am building a Gaming PC and I wanted to get the information from experienced people. Thanks! :)

2060 is a lot faster than a 1070, the 2gb VRAM will never be an issue where the 1070 starts to win against it.

So the factor here is cost.

What are your current specs? and what monitor do you plan to game on in the future?

Since when is about 10% a lot faster?

Personally i would go for the 2060 Since it is newer and a bit faster the 2 gb Vram may not matter that much.

But what TrigrH said what is the cost difference for you between the 2060 and the 1070?

Raytracing isn't a big deal for the 2060 when you try to run high fps I assume. Even the bigger cards struggle if you turn on raytracing.

If you just game a 2060 would be the better choice depending on the price difference to the 1070 (ti). If you don't do content creation the additional VRAM is probably not that big of a deal for you.

If you are on a budget look at last gen and used market. I assume your budget is around 250 $ - 350 $? Maybe even a 980ti for 250 $? If you want to use a freesync monitor you are probably best of with a 10th series card or higher because you can't use the 9th series cards for that.
