Dropping Frames [OBS/Twitch] Help!

K i a r a

So,

Just started streaming for fun, with some friends, And out of nowhere I just drop frames showing up on OBS - My bit rate was at 6k but I set it back to 3k and its still dropping frames pretty frequently I am not straming any crazy games, Its a 2D game - and its not even in full screen, Pretty sure its like 800x600. I do not think my internet is the issue as well.

Any ideas what to do?

This is showing it drop.

Could you screenshot and post your OBS settings? Specifically the output and stream option menus. Make sure to blur your stream key if visible.

Switch from software encoding to your dedicated card (should be 1060 for you based on your signature). Do some tests with that and see if you keep dropping frames. Also, try temporarily lowering your bitrate to 2000. Your machine and internet should be able to handle a bitrate of 3000 but you never know.

The only other option is "Hardware (NVENC)"

Alright, I did some research and dropped frames aren't from your pc stuttering as I thought first but instead your connection. Try lowering your bitrate as I suggested. Also, if you're on wifi it's possible that's causing your dropped frames. Try streaming to youtube or mixer to see if you're still dropping frames. it could be the twitch servers.

Your upload is fine for 4-5000kbps. If this is constant, then it's issue. Otherwise it might be Twitch side thing.
