I want to play some games , as i already have a laptop it would save me a couple of bucks to use egpu instead buying a new gaming pc , i have seen some youtube videos of people using this eGPU adapter , but i am not sure if this eGPU adapter is compatible with my laptop , there is no technical support from the seller and return process will be trouble ,

So any advice , should i go for it ?

Anyone with similar setup , confirm if it works or not ?

My laptop is 6 years old HP Pavilion g6-2201ax Notebook PC , it was a launch product for Microsoft's new os Windows 8 , c03500042&key=3f68570c950b4cf263611b5d182a774d0f83ac40a994b110ea0b9aa0521c9e9fI have upgraded to Windows 10 , 8 GB ram and 240 GB SSD .

Mini-PCIe slots on laptops have a single lane and it's likely at best PCIe 2.0. So most GPUs are likely going to be severely hampered by performance due to the restricted bandwidth.

The laptop in Linus's video used an M.2 slot capable of delivering PCIe 3.0 x4.
