Ok lads, I currently own an older ipad pro but recently my apple pencle broke and I just started drawing so it kind of defeats the purpose of me really using it since I pretty much only using for drawing. Are there any good tablets that have a pen and are not too behind the ipad, which I am probably going to sell to fund this whole operation anyway. I dont mind whether it runs android or windows. I live in austria, please help me.

From top to bottom:

(0. iPad Pro 3rd gen. Best, but expensive... Also, the second generation Pen is more expensive)

1. iPad Pro 2017 (aka, 2nd gen), 10.5" 64gb Wifi version, the first one with 120 Hz Display, for better input Lag. This would be preferred, if you can get it for that price).

2. iPad 2018 - Budget model. Keep in Mind, the Display is NOT laminated, there is a Gap between th Glas, and the Panel (Pixel), which might disturb a bit while drawing.

In my Opinion, iPad Pro 10,5" would be pretty much perfekt

Why do i recommend iPad over anything else: There are better Apps for drawing, MUCH better Apps: Procreate.

Android does have literaly NOTHING that comes even close to this Gem. But Options would be, Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, or S4 (but S4 comes too close to iPad Pro 10.5" territory).

So i would suggest.. get a new Pencil, and have one of the best solutions for drawing. And even if you have the first Generation iPad Pro, this will still last longer (with Updates) than even a brandnew Galaxy Tab S4.

Windows: Something like Microsoft Surface Pro/Go + Surface Pen. Pretty much the same, but with Windows - don't ask me which Apps to use for drawing ^^ But there are Apps for it.

Also, Surface Go = lower "real performance" than iPad Pro.

To add on I already own a 10.5 ipad pro 256gb and I recently began hating ios after switching to android (all the features). But thank you for writing this out, I may go for a tab s4 or 3 and maybe one of the surfaces. But anyway thanks

If you don't like iOS, then i would rather go Windows > Android.

Really look into the App ecosystem first. The OS itself won't do anything for you, if you can't find a good App for your needs :P There are some, like Adobe Sketch, but it won't keep up with Procreate's capabilities.
