I recently bought another memory module of G.Skill F3-1600C11S-8GNT to use with my MSI B85-G43 and 4670k but it would not boot and no post. I am running on the latest BIOS version 3.A.

My monitor would only receive a brief signal from the computer for approximately 3 seconds, then the computer would reset in a loop.

I have tried:

  • CMOS Clear
  • Moving memory into 1&3 and 2&4 slots
  • Using on-board graphics

NOTE that the memory is not listed on the compatibility list on the support web page of my motherboard.

Wondering if this would be:

  • Bent socket pins
  • Faulty/Broken dimm slots
  • Memory incompatibility

@tommynk12 Hello and Welcome to the LTT Forum.

First of all, you're using 2 sticks of RAM correct?

Which model is the other one?

Is it the same model?

And the Lastest BIOS is the C.8 Aparently.

Memory sticks are identical except for the fact that one is 3 years older than the other also I am using the B85-G43 Non Gaming

Hmm, i see in this case did you tried to see if it beeps.

Use a speaker and see if it beeps to be sure.

But probably you'll have to change your RAM sticks.

Motherboard doesn't have a speaker header so I cant get beep codes, I've already ordered another kit of memory from Newegg that is on the compatibility list Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10.
