PC Build Planning

K4B3L_

I want to buy a Pc in 2 parts, one this summer and the other one in 2020.

I want to spend 660 000 HUF (approx. 2400 $US) in total.

I would use it mostly for gaming and a bit of CAD and I would like to use it for 5-6(maybe 7) years. I need a new monitor and a keyboard too.

i am planning to replace my current pc becouse it performs poor in gaming and it's impossible to do any CAD with it.

My current pc:

Spoiler

AMD Athlon X4 950 @3.5Ghz

G.Skill Ageis 8Gb ram

Gigabyte GTX 1050 2GB

MSI A320M-PRO VS/D

Thermaltake Litepower 550W

Kingston 120GB SSD (sATA)

WD Green 500gb 5.4k RPM

Dell 4:3 1280x1040 monitor

The first half of the build:

Spoiler

Intel I5 8600K

Be Quiet! Dark Rock TF

ASUS RoG Z390-F

HyperX Predator 3200Mhz 2x8gb

ASUS VG248QE

HyperX Alloy Fps (mx blue)

 The second half:

Spoiler

ASUS RoG Strix RTX 2070 OC

Nzxt S340 (plus 2x Nzxt F120 fans)

Corsair CX650M

Samsung 970 Evo 500gb

Any recommendations, ideas, or oppinions?

Thanks for helping! ?

PS: Sorry if my spelling/grammar is not correct

@MNinjaTV Hello and Welcome to the LTT Forum.

First of all, in the first "part" of the PC, i'd recommend you to get an Ryzen 5 2600 with an B450 than this i5 + Z390, you'll get the same performance or even better in some cases paying less and saving some money.

Hello.

Thanks for the advice.

I have some concerns about AMD and its longevity (my friend's fx 6300 just died for no reason (it was slightly OC'd [.3Ghz I believe] with a good aftermarket cooler) after 3 years..

I dont know if it was a common thing or if it would be with the Zen series..

Anyways thanks and I will definitely look up a pricing for it and I'll consider it when buying the PC.

Amd's most recent line Ryzen is about to have its second birthday, I think you will be ok, as i have seen Little to no issues with the day one community.

I understand your concerts but the Ryzen line is much better than it's predecessor FX's.

Nowadays AMD is a greater option in Intel if you want performance and save a few money.
