you're good. Z370 is superfluous for a locked CPU (except BCLK obvi) but a 6 core current gen CPU is fine for your GPU.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

was thinking about upgrading to a i7 8600K since that seems to be one of the top ones to use excluding the i9 lol

Just FYI, my 7 year old CPU beats a stock 8700k in Aida64 CPU Queen bench.  So you must overclock it to beat my CPU, and beat it in all tests but not by too much.  Intel has not accomplished too much over the years.  sighs

a k-sku i5 or i7 would be nice, but of course no need to spend money on something if it won't improve performance. See if your game performance is good and then if it is you're set.

Sad how a 6th gen CPU locked loses to my 7 year old cpu in Aida64 Queen bench.  So overclocking makes a big difference especially in DAW or video editing basically for HEDT and bunch of RAM and a m.2 and what not.  And I believe one or two douches have said your CPU is dated. lol Ya right!!!  I get 22 to 32 percent CPU usage when I game any game.  So obviously the game isnt giving the CPU  no problem at all.  I can SLI  3080Ti and get the same FPS as a stock 8700k or 9700k ran at stock speeds and what not.  In other words Intel has not come that far the last couple years.

You shouldn't take too much stock in the stock numbers of that bemchmark. It's accurate to measure your own CPU with, but it's only one benckmark and it's also some approximate values for CPU performance inside the program. I'd say refer to more benchmarks and try to find some other relative values.

Well the 8700k not OCed is faster then my CPU in every other test, but not handily..

Oh, well that sort of matters for a gaming PC

My thing I don't get is, the most it has been pushed on avg is like 15 to 45 percent usage in AAA games.  If it uses all 100 percent then I will call bottleneck.
