Intel CPU too hot?

I have an i5-8600 and zotac 1070 ti mini.

Both are running at stock, the CPU using a 120mm ID-COOLING AIO cooler.

The CPU idles around 39-44C and the GPU idles around 35-39C

In superposition 1080p extreme, the GPU reaches around 65C however when I opened titanfall 2 1080p max and watched youtube with discord open, it reached 70C.

In CPU-Z stress test, the highest CPU core reached around 68C but in the same scenario with titanfall 2 as above, it reached 81C.

 

I know that the limit of the processor is 100C, but are any of these temperatures too high?

No, they're fine. You'd have been better off with a decent air or 240mm AIO, but those temps you are experiencing are fine and won't damage the PC... even if it hit 100C it would just throttle the CPU (down clock).

It's not ideal... but at those temps it won't harm anything... also you could try adjusting the fan curve in software or bios to get better temps too. Make sure you take care to take pics or remember current settings though, just in case it makes it worse.

That sounds about right for a 120mm aio, if your getting worried about temps it wouldn't hurt to maybe do a remount of the cooler with fresh thermal paste or run a more aggressive fan curve. It might even be worth trying to see if you can run it with a lower CPU voltage.

I don't know much about that CPU's normal operating temperature but I have some input to add. I owned an i7 4790k (notoriously hot CPU) and ran it with a Corsair H100i 120mm water cooler. I saw very similar temps to yours while running that chip at 4.8ghz (maxed at around 85c). So are you damaging anything? No. But those temps do SEEM high. Maybe look into getting better airflow through your case if possible.
