Do high quality small monitors exist?

I have limited space where I want to put a system, and something in the 17" to 19" widescreen would fit nicely. 1920x1080 would be great, if such a beast existed. Everything I'm finding is over 21" (which makes sense to be honest, but I still thought I'd ask)

Maybe some kind of laptop display with a custom case and a board to power it and control it?

I can only find 15.6 or 16" monitors here and, most of them are the portable kind.

What about a larger monitor in portrait mode? If the only constraint is the width, that could be a good alternative.

Neat idea, but the system lacks USB-C
