I know Be Quiet makes great fans and great coolers but how good and reliable are their power supplies compared to the popular brands like Corsair and EVGA.

Would the Dark Power Pro 11 80+ Platinum 1000W PSU for about $200-$220 be a good deal and would it power a high end system with no problems? How good are their Straight Power 11 PSUs?

Also, they should be very silent at load because of the Be Quiet fan in the PSU, right?

Both the straight power Pro and dark power Pro are good units.

What system are you using if you're planning on spending $200+ on a 1000w PSU?

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

Not right now. Just curious if in the future I do a really high end build. Something with Threadripper/Core i9 X with GPU like 1080 Ti/2080 Ti because if I overclock the hardware, especially the CPU, things are definitely gonna get heavy.

750W is more than fine for that, 850W for the Dark Power due to Plattform change.

Buying for the Future makes no sense because ATX is crap today and just not up to it, so its probable that in the future it will be replaced with something different
