Hello,

I have installed Deepin Linux yesterday on my old laptop. I am getting a something on my screen while booting.

It says following:

[  0.004000] do_IRQ: 1.55 No irq handler for vector

[  0.004000] do_IRQ: 2.55 No irq handler for vector

[  0.004000] do_IRQ: 3.55 No irq handler for vector

[  7.293625] Couldn't get size: 0x800000000000000e

I googled it but I couldn't find any solution. I'm still learning about Linux so I'm not that good in solving problems on Linux platform.

Main problem is that it takes more time to load OS, other than that, everything else is working fine.

I'm sorry for my English, it's not my native language but I hope you will understand me.

The "no irq handler" seems to be motherboard related, and the "couldn't get size" seems to be something with the kernel. Search how to update the kernel in Deepin Linux and try that out.

It may not actually be affecting boot times, the terminal just might not be logging things in the interim.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just tried that. I installed program called ''Ukuu Kernel Update Utility''.

When I run it and try to install newer version of kernel, it just says that there is some kind of error.

So I assume that in order to update Kernel I have to open program as a super user.

I tried opening program via terminal using this command: gksudo Ukuu Kernel Update Utility

It asks me for a pasword, and when i type it, i get following in terminal:

(gksudo:8511): Gtk-WARNING **: 04:06:42.136: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "adwaita",

(gksudo:8511): Gtk-WARNING **: 04:06:42.137: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "adwaita",
