recently i have been having issues with some of the Microsoft services included within windows 10.

i am unable to search for updates, and download any apps from the app store.

when i contacted microsoft tech support about this with the error code: 0x80072f8f

has anyone else had this issue lately.

Microsoft clearly know about this issue but dont seem to be doing anything about it.

Make sure your date & time is exact. Use the time sync feature to get the second right.

If that doesn't work, run the Windows Update Troubleshooter.

If that still doesn't help, try this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/971058/how-do-i-reset-windows-update-components?wa=wsignin1.0

You may want to check for any Spy/Malware/Virus infections. Disabling updates is a pretty standard MO for malware. I'd just try running a round of standalone anti-malware, just in case your installed defensive software lineup has been compromised. ComboFix, TDSSKiller, and MalwareBytes Anti-Rootkit are 3 decent scanners to run. Make sure to download them on a known-clean computer and bring them over via USB flashdrive.
