PC won't POST without the ram stick it came with

CPU: Core 2 Quad Q8300
Mobo: EG31M V1.1 from Acer Prebuilt
 

this board won't POST if I use other Ram sticks instead of the one it came with.
The one it came with is a Kingston DDR2-667 2GB Stick
I tried ram from Samsung, Transcend, Umax, Kingmax, Adata, Some No Name Sticks and even Kingston Ram and it wouldn't POST without using the stick it came with.

Did you reset CMOS?

Did you check in BIOS that it had actually reset to defaults though... just asking as I have seen BIOS bugs where it didn't reset properly.

Oh i found out that it just wont post with DDR2-800 sticks but it works with DDR2-667 sticks

Ahh I see, might be BIOS limited maybe... did you try a new bIOS?
