iphone 8 plus Touch screen not working

Looking for assistance, found this iphone 8 plus on a bench and the touch screen isnt working. Anyone know why might that be, there are no loose connections everything looks brandnew, i reseated almost everything but there is still no touch recognition, do you guys think that its a faulty display or what?
