Best MX150 laptop with TB3 and charging via TypeC support

Hello everyone reading this,

I am a very old watcher of LTT and a couple days back I saw a video on a super clean desk set up where you only had to plug in 1 (type c TB3) cable and in a matter of seconds you would be up and running with a powerful system.

But my problem was that the Razer Blade 2017 was just too expensive and therefore I'm looking for a alternative with mx150, TB3 x4 PCIe and charging via that port.

My budget is roughly 1200EUR and if you can find anything plz reply.

Thank you very much

mx150

TB3 x4 PCIe

Usually laptops with MX150 don't have x4 PCIe lanes for TB3

Not sure about euro prices, but a Lenovo 720S sells for about $800 here and seems to suit your needs. There are conflicting information on whether it's a x2 or x4, but I believe the 13" version uses x4 while 14" uses x2 from what I've read, although this article might prove interesting to you: https://www.notebookcheck.net/eGPU-Two-PCI-e-lanes-no-problem.266658.0.html

I gave up on my quest for this mystical unicorn and just went with a MacBook Pro in 2017. Perhaps a used or refurbished 2016 or 2017 model would fit your budget. The Radeon Pro 560 in my 2017 15" is a little faster than the MX150. There still isn't anything out there with a better TB3 layout than Apple, even if they're a bit expensive. They do hold value better than PC laptops though so total cost of ownership isn't that bad if you're to sell it after a few years. We're all just waiting for Microsoft to pull their heads out of their asses and put TB3 on the Surfaces.

Honestly a asus ux533 with gtx 1050 would be a really good choice even though it has no TB support. Your thoughts on that???

Right now, the only laptop with 4x Pcie lanes and a mx150 is the new 2019(or late 2018, whatever you call it) razer blade stealth, which is VERY expensive.
