PC for my friend

funn3r

You're putting some rather expensive storage into a cheap motherboard, save some money by getting an 850 or 860 evo instead of that NVMe SSD, since NVMe is basically useless for gaming.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

i would swap the psu out for a 450/500 watt, the motherboard for something else as it is a business oriented board, get a little higher on the ram if possible, swap the ssd out for a 860 evo or mx500, and choose a different 580 if they are the same price

Hello i am building pc for my slav friend.

I just want to make sure if all components are okay.

Seems fine but an RX 570 may be a better bet i it's a lot cheaper with like 90% the same performance as an RX 580

Intel/AMD chipset names aren't comparable, and there's really no better option at that price, at least it has some kind of VRM Heatsink with the 4 phase VRM. The CX 550W PSU is fine.

Could use a cheaper SSD and 3000mhz RAM though

You might want an ASrock Pro4 MicroATX board for the better VRM heatsink(s), and that would let you get the top tier Q300L case from coolermaster, just don't use a radiator with it, though it isn't very small for a micro ATX case

true, but as you mentioned down something like the pro4 is worth the upgrade (at least imo)

true, but a 450/500 would still do

There's simply no reason to buy a cheaper or lower end PSU if a better one is available

The Pro4 is more of a side grade, only considered just because it actually has heatsinks. Actual performance isn't really going to matter between the 2 boards.

true, so why not a better 450/500 watt psu for about the same price?

As that typically won't be a thing given that the newest CX is in the "pretty alright" category far as PSUs go, but feel free to link one from that site

I know, I personally have a (little bit whining) cx550m, there's nothing wrong with it, but this exists

Likely fine but it isn't modular

true... but it's 80+ gold over 80+ bronze, uses a higher quality and quieter fan, is better built, but does lack the modulair factor the cx550m has

@Stefan Payne is a big fan of it

there is a modulair version of it tho

Yes, because modularity on a 500W PSU doesn't really matter as you don't really save any cables at all as you usually need 1 Drive Cables anyway and this PSU usually come with only 2 anyway.

And the most important thing: no modular Connectors is one less possibility for a Problem...
