As I said in a post yesterday I have once again overclocked my 5930K to 4.4GHz which should be pretty easily attainable however after overclocking I have found some weird behaviour such as chrome causing the CPU to turbo when the window is in focus even when idle and CPU usage is at 1%. Another thing I found is that my speakers make a static beeping when overclocked that seems to go away when going back to stock? Possibly CPU/Motherboard dying? Thanks in advance

The solution is simple. Stop overclocking, see if the problem goes away

As I said in the original post I did and it did resolve the issues however the chrome issue is more of an annoyance and a non issue however the speaker beeping/popping is annoying and an issue which wasnt a problem when using automatic voltage but the CPU was getting too hot so I attempted to use adaptive voltage with a lower max turbo voltage however this is when the sound issue was introduced.

the speakers could be due to power in the board and the emf and the task manager saying 1% usage when its not under load is that windows thinks the max turbo is lower than what its running at now when the cpu tells the mobo its speed and other info and cause its running faster than that windows assumes a process has caused it to turbo up and therefor wants to show 1% usage.

Edit: try an external dac and amp to stop the weird sounds. the dac takes digital usb and then turns it to analog then the amp does its thing all outside the pc to reduce electrical interference from electro magnetic fields and static and other things found in the pc thats why internal sound cards have shielding
