Motherboard does not show m2 SSD

Hello,

I just installed a WD Black NVMe SSD on an ASUS Z170-A. There is nothing else connected to any SATA port. Unfortunately the the SSD is not shown and I can not install windows on it. Do you have any idea what's wrong? CPU is a i5-6600 and the GPU a ASUS ROG Strip 970. BIOS Ver. 0604.

Thanks for your help!

Greetings

Marzii

If it doesn't show in the bios it's not seated into the slot properly or a rare DOA part, if it shows in the bios it's misconfigured bios settings. Read mobo manual, somewhere in the settings should be controls for how the m.2 slot should act.
