Surge protector.

So something weird happening i was stuttering in pubg like crazy for a while. Like i decided to change my surge protector for a ups for a better protection. Because my surge protectot is cheaply made 15$. When i plugged that shit. My fps is now solid in all maps like 100+ not even dropping. Is this a coincidence? Can a surge protector not give full power for your pc if it was cheaply made?

Yeah i figured beside the ups has a small display and it says the output and the input is 121v. If its less power than that. The ups will beep on me.
