120hz panel, should I wait?

Hi everyone,

 

Really need a new monitor been gaming using my VTX3D 7870 tahiti le Black edition gpu over VGA at 1440x900 and im needing an upgrade bad.

 

I have another 7870 tahiti le on order and I'm planning crossfiring them when I receive it.

Obviously Im not going to get any benefit without upgrading my monitor.

 

I really would like a 120hz panel, also gives me an option of HD3D if ever I want to.

 

Taking into account that 120hz panels are not cheap I was just wondering should I wait until we hear more of AMD Freesync and which monitors will support VBLANK. 

I am not up to speed with this at all.

Will 120hz panels ever support VBLANK, is there any reason why a 120hz panel could not support or will not support VBLANK?

 

Or am I just better off biting the bullet

I'd wait honestly. Monitors don't leap in technology often and there is a pretty big leap right now (4K and variable refreshes).
