Overclocking 8700K - Low performance(?) help!

Hi guys,

So i've got this 8700K on the ASUS Z370-e Gaming Strix motherboard...i've set XMP profile for memory...dialed in 50 multiplier for all cores and set 1.3v as Vcore.

I run Cinebench R15 and i get around 1440 points every time which is wierd because i think i should be more around 1600 points...RAM is 3000mhz

What is wrong here? please help!

This is cinebench single-thread...is that a normal score?

Your single thread score is fine. It should be around 215 for 5Ghz. However, your multi thread score should be around 1600-1650. HWInfo64 shows 5 of the 6 cores dropping to 4.8Ghz. It seems like you are being power limited to 95W.

Try changing the power limits in BIOS.

yeah i did that..didn't fixed it...

BUT, i've found that if i set Cinebench to run in real time priority in task manager a i get a much better score...so i guess i have something eating up ressources but i don't see what...every program doesnt use CPU much at all...wierd
