Okay, here's the thing: I have an old Acer Aspire T180 at home from 2006, came with a Windows Vista OEM, has an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core, a MB with 4 DDR2 Memory slots, 2 occupied by a 1GB DIMM each, OS upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate last year. The PC was working perfectly, until, somewhere last July, I rebooted it after installing a security patch, and then, after the reboot, where it was supposed to post, the CPU fans just stopped spinning and I had NO picture whatsoever on my screen. I tried pretty much EVERYTHING at this point (CMOS Battery reset, rebuilding the PC from scratch, switching up the CPU fan plug socket etc.), AKA I pretty much warranty voided every single part (not that it matters, no one produces these parts anymore). And since I am not the only one that uses this PC ( I only deal with hardware maintenance, software, drivers etc) and the other person uses it for office work, I am in a pretty bad hurry right now. Please help me!

Thanks in advance!

You could try booting into the BIOS with no drives and/or fewer RAM sticks. But if you can't get it to POST at all, you may need to just replace the machine altogether.

Nope, not even the BIOS starts up. And I've tried several Hard Drives (also SSDs) with different Windows versions installed (also a W2G drive) and well..... nothing But good idea. I'll think about replacing it but I will still try to get it working. I still have hopes for that machine. Thanks though.

Dunno. I didn't check that yet. Good tip though. Also Eastman51 the PC that you listed on PPP is WAY over my budget. I just need a PC that WORKS but also not pre-built. IF I buy a new one. Right now I am more looking for a way to repair that old one IF there is one. I hope there is.
