I recently purchased the AORUS 1080ti EXTREME 11GB GPU second hand. I can't overclock the GPU at all as all overclocks are unstable and cause the system to crash under load.

Is this just bad luck or could it be the result of the GPU being used for mining?

all i want is another great halo game.

If I am not mistaken the 1080ti's want at least 250watts and if you have a small power supply you will run into this undoubtedly. I have a 8700k and 2 1080ti's and I can not run them all at full power if I wanted to because my 750watt platinum isn't enough to power everything(fans, mobo, harddrives and ect..)..(probably my weakest link in my computer).

My Rig: CPU: i9-9900k (5Ghz), Ram: 32gigs 3600mhz DDR4 CL16, MOBO: Gigabyte Aorus z390 Ultra, HDD: Samsung 970 Evo 500gig x2, Samsung 850 evo 250 gig, 2 TB Baracuda 7200 rpm,6tb WD Black 7200rpm, 4TB NAS, GPU: Gigabyte Aorus 3090 Master
