Real world 3.0 speeds will be around 200MB/s dependent on which controller it has.

Also that enclosure only supports Sata M2 devices the 6Gbps they claim is just the Sata III spec. And has no real influence on the actual speed.

In the end it will depend on 3 things:

- The controller used for converting the Sata III to USB 3.0

- The speed of the SSD

- The controller on the mainboard (plus the hub if you use that)

SATA interface is up to 6 Gbit/s, and USB3.0 is rated at 5.0 ~Gbit/s. How much you get out at the end will be further reduced by how efficient the controller is, and protocol overheads as user data is not same as connection data.

USB 3.0 is THEORETICALLY 6 Gbps (0.625 GBps/625 MBps)

SATA 3.0 M.2 is THEORETICALLY 6 Gbps (0.600 GBps/600 MBps) as well, however SATA SSD drives max at 550 MBps

SATA 3.2 M.2 is THEORETICALLY 16 GBps (1.97 GBps/1970 MBps). Only SATA express devices use this

NVMe M.2 is THEORETICALLY 32 Gbps (4 GBps/4000 MBps)

Assuming the worst, you're only getting ~1/5 of the maximum speed.

Thats the same. With just a USB C interface (which they quote the 3.1 from) but its still just 3.0 ;)
