DP to HDMI cable

Hello! 

 

As the title says, is it possible to buy just a normal DP cable so i can connect it to HDMI port on my TV or do i need some sort of powered adapter to do it? PC monitor is already hooked up via HDMI, since there are no more ports, i would like to use DP to HDMI

There is also an adapter DP to HDMI.

Allright, thats what i needed to know. So i can just plug it in and thats it? One monitor is already plugged in into HDMI on the graphics card, hopefully that wont be the issue.

As I said, if you have more than one display, you will need an active adapter. Both myself and @circeseye linked to active adapters.

Yeah, seen that, but you sad i may need the adapter, so i  would like to get away with just the cable Will get the adapter, pretty much all of them work fine?

(I was trying to use better English)

Like I said, the adapters myself and @circeseye linked to will work fine.

I have four monitors running as we speak. I tried to get away with just a cable, and that didn't work for me, but the active adapters did.
