Okay, I've had issues with my computer sometimes turning on at seemingly random times, and now I feel it may have to do with static discharge. While there are times it will turn on without me touching it or even moving (i.e laying in bed), sometimes it will turn on when I open the door to my room. Today, I tried to power on my Nintendo Switch, and I was lightly shocked.. somehow, this discharge went through the Switch and dock, through the power cord, through my surge protector, and to my computer.

My question is, is there something potentially wrong with one of or multiple parts in my PC, is there a way to fix this, hopefully without having to replace a part, and could this potentially be harmful to my PC long-term? Thanks to anyone who can help me in advance.

I somewhat doubt that this is what is causing it to turn on - I think it must be some sort of feature where you can turn the computer just by moving the mouse or pressing a key on the keyboard. Aside from that, I'd check the power switch headers on the motherboard aren't being shorted.

My mouse and keyboard can only wake it from sleep. When my computer is entirely shut off, my mouse and keyboard cannot turn on my PC, only the power button can, yet it will come on. And yes, I used all of the standoffs and have it mounted properly.  @mxk.
