Ram

Hey guys i recently purchased a 8 gb ram ddr4 2133mhz and paired it with 4 gb 2133mz. but the question is how do i know both are working at same frequency ??

 

Cpu :- Intel core i5 6402P 

Mobo :-  gigabyte b150m-ds3h-cf

Ram :- 12 gb DDr4 - 2133 cl 14 288

Gpu:- ASUS ROG Strix Gaming RX 570 OC 4GB

psu :- Corsair VS550 550-Watt

Just press the Windows key on your keyboard and type in cmd and launch it. Once in there just copy and paste this in there:

wmic memorychip get speed

You'll get the RAM speeds like so:

Not a good idea to mix DRAM from different packages, they may or may not play nice together, if they do, then you'd be runnin in flex mode w/ 4GB from each stick running dual channel and the odd 4 GB on the 8GB stick in single channel mode

The speeds are fine. You could just do a memtest if you want to make sure that everything is stable.

 

Here's how:

 

Hit the Windows key and type in mdsched.exe and launch it. You'll need to restart your machine and let it do its thing.

Fair warning, this might take a while.

Make sure to quote or tag people, so they get notified.
