Hey forum; I will be providing my system information just so ya know she is not a slouch

4790k

msi sli krait motherboard

24gb ddr 1866 mhz ram (mixed kits)

GTX 1070 ZOTAC AMP!

120b SSD OS Drive

2tb seagate HDD

Yesterday I started up my pc to open overwatch and subsequently got 24fps. I then restarted and my pc was such a slouch. Everything was slow and laggy, usually it is incredibly responsible on startup. I go through the slug and find this (Program and Program on startup). I have no idea if this is malware and cant locate it. I also had some Acronis data migration software also but deleted that. I then shut down my pc and it says

no named program is preventing shutdown

G is preventing shutdown no icons.

After shutdown my pc is fine. So like, is it malware? or is my 3 year old ssd dying. it did it today also. I check and there is no thermal throttling or anything

So would a system reset be a good idea?

You should be able to run CrystalDiskMark on the SSD to check it's health / performance. I'm not experienced with it nor SSD performance, but comparing it to the advertised speeds is a place to start.
