Time for a new CPU?

So, Playing Atlas the last 2-3 days, I've noticed that my CPU load/usage has been maxing out, with only Atlas open, and Discord for chat.   Current Processor is an AMD FX-6100. All stock, no OC.   I'm Thinking its time for a new CPU and just wanted to get some idea's or suggestions.

What do you want to spend? You can move to ryzen for around 300 USD, maybe more if you don't have an SSD

What I'd do buy a used FX-8350 (about a third better/33%), and then sell your 6100 for 25$, then buy decent cpu cooler (hyper 212 mabye), then OC the 8350 to 4.5-5ghz. should be a 50% improvement for only 50$.

That will probable tide you over to black friday this year.

Upgrading to zen will be expensive, Mobo+ram+cpu will probably be 400$ at the very least.
