Hi guys,

I'm beginning to think my gpu is acting up. I'm noticing every 1 to 10 minutes a quick flick of the screen during which a weird artifact of colors (like an old crt tv not having signal) appears. It's more likely caused when looking at a video/playing a game. I'm rarely experiencing it when on the desktop.

For the second time now, the screen froze when playing a game. The first time it was black (with the monitor's backlight), the second time, I could catch it on camera and it was a different pattern.

In both cases, I had to reboot. Turning monitor off and on, or unplugging DVI cable and plugging it back would not have any effect.

Any thoughts ?

Check every damn contact in your PC. PCIe brackets, all cables. Power, data.

btw. What did you get for meal? :D

Try re-installing drivers?

Clean it from dust and make sure its not overheating

Running at stock speeds or overclocked?

Important info :

When gaming with DXtory counting frames, I'm noticing important variations on scenes that don't change much.
