Hey all,

I'm looking to build a HTPC and am wondering what the minimum or "recommended" GPU would be for 4k 60fps streaming/playback of content. Right now we are using a collection of devices (e.g. Chromcast, Raspberry Pi, etc) to satisfy our entertainment needs and would like to condense into one machine.

Is an APU/IGU enough? Dedicated card? If so, how much horspower?

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions, feedback and insight!

I think going with a 2200g or 2400g should be fine, if it doesnt have gpu acceleration and you think you need it, anything maxwell 2.0 + (IE a 960 or something, or most 10 series cards) and a cheap R3 would work.

awesome, thank you! My initial plan was to build something using the 2200g but, using a case that would allow me to add a card later, if needed. Thinking that an RX560 would even be more than enough. Would you agree?
