Buy now or wait?

Hey guys,

 

So here's my question, I don't know a lot about monitors so I'm looking for some advice. I'm looking to by a new 27" 1440p 144hz monitor (side note is g-sync worth it?) Is now a good time to buy or are we about to see some new technology shortly? I'm not in a rush but if there's nothing new coming for 6+ months I'll just buy now.

go look at nvidia approuved monitors, you'll get the gsync experience on a freesync monitor, im guessing your gpu is nvidia?
